Taking Pilates for the last 10 years has gotten me back into shape and past knee replacement and a recent cracked kneecap. At 72 I feel at home with my body once again thanks to Jennifer, Gina and all the other fine instructors.

Professional Pilates instruction in a warm caring atmosphere. That describes Main Line Pilates and Yoga. Gina Nostrant, the owner and manager, wrote the book on customer service. My trainer, Jennifer Bergh, is simply the best there is: I get a terrific workout and can still walk down the second-floor steps to my car! If one week, I have a bad shoulder or a sore hip. Jennifer still creates a good workout for me without stressing any vulnerable part of my body. The people at Main Line Pilates and Yoga know what they're doing!

I have been going to Main Line Pilates & Yoga for over 7 years. Both the yoga and the Pilates teachers are great, giving personal attention to eacj and everyone. They are aware of special personal issues - they really care about you - and their attention to detail when instructing is awesome. The classes are small therefore giving everyone the attention that they need. The health benefits, which I can personally attest to, are too numerous to list. Gina's personal touch to make the studio inviting and attractive also needs to be mentioned. And, last but not least, it's a wonderful place to meet new friends. This studio is simply the best and totally addictive!

Six years ago ,my daughter, a Pilates instructor in NYC introduced me to Pilates. I complained that being over 60 made this exercise too difficult. She insisted I try it and I spent a day in NY with her to try it. Meanwhile, she searched the internet for a classic Pilates instructor and studio in my neighborhood, so that I could have good experience and training here.
She found Main Line Pilates & Yoga and checked out Gina's background and certification. So 5 1/2 years ago I came to Main Line Pilates and began what has been a remarkable journey toward better health and physical ability for "someone my age"!
I am stronger and more flexible. I am excited about what I am able to do physically. I tell all of my friends that Pilates is meant for people our age to help protect us from injuries and keep us mobile.
The studio is staffed by very qualified classical Pilates instructors. It is a happy place and I look forward to my two weekly sessions and feel I have missed something when I cannot be there.
I am not the best student in class, but I don't have to be. I can work at my own speed and to my own ability. I am able to see my progress and know that I have come a long way in five years.

Recently I had surgery to replace my right hip. My recovery was so speedy that family, friends, and medical professionals were astounded.

I am now back at class, and although I am a 74 year old grandmother, I can do almost everything that my younger classmates can do.

The Pilates classes offered by Main Line Pilates & Yoga are incredible. After a prolonged recovery from ankle surgery I needed an exercise routine that could get me back in shape. I tried a personal trainer at a gym and made some progress, but nothing could compare to the progress I made once I started Pilates classes at Main Line Pilates & Yoga.
Within a few weeks of taking 2 - 3 classes a week I could see the beginnings of what has been a progressive and a dramatic difference in myself; increased strength, improved muscle tone, weight loss (combined with healthy eating), and improved posture. Family and friends can't help but notice the difference.
Doing Pilates correctly is the key to getting the most out of your workout. Gina, and every instructor at the studio, is motivating and supportive. The one-on-one sessions and small class sizes ensure you receive personal attention to prefect your form. A one hour Pilates session is one of the most amazing workouts I've ever had; there's nothing easy about Pilates, every session is challenging and rewarding.
MAIN LINE PILATES AND YOGA IS ADDICTIVE!

Three months ago, I started taking Pilates classes at Main Line Pilates and Yoga. Using a combination of Mat classes, Equipment classes and one-on-one instruction, I am pleased to say that I have lost 2 1/2 inches from my waist. My goal was to get to a 35 inch waist, and I have surpassed that.
I no longer worry about the health issues associated with a waist measurement of 35 inches. Taking classes at least 2 to 3 times a week worked for me!

Having a hynerated disc in my lower back was reason enough to begin Pilates 2 years ago. Not wanting to undergo surgery or take pain medication the rest of my life the orthopedic surgeon suggested Pilates as an ongoing preventive way to relieve stress to my lower back. Beginning with a mat class was a wonderful introduction to Main Line Pilates. The class was great and I wanted more individual work so now I take private lessons and mat classes. All the instructors are wonderful, and very knowledgeable in helping to create an atmosphere of learning body mechanics. They are so patient and always correcting "in love". Gina and her staff are a true testimony of giving their time and expertise to help you get a great work out and feel good about yourself.
